Panel Engagements in the Mid South West region

On 9 June 2022, the Panel visited the Mid South West (MSW) where they met with the MSW Governance Steering Group, comprised of representatives from Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon; Fermanagh and Omagh and Mid Ulster District Councils.

Following the local government session, the Panel consulted with a range of business leaders, from organisations varying in size and sectors, located across the three Council areas.

Commenting after the regional engagements, Sir Michael Lyons said: “The overall stakeholder response to the Review has been impressive and will no doubt continue. The breadth of evidence gathered from our consultation sessions will be crucial in assisting us to formulate recommendations that are reflective of the needs of everyone in Northern Ireland. The Panel remains committed to providing opportunities for all voices to be heard and are pleased that so many stakeholders are willing to participate during these face-to-face engagements.”

The Panel will host several in-person meetings in Ballymena and Belfast later this month. Detail on these events will be published in due course.
