Panel Engagements in Belfast and Newry

The Independent Review of Invest NI Panel have this week continued to hold face-to-face engagements with a number of key stakeholders. Over two days in Belfast and Newry, the Panel heard from a range of business leaders and industry experts.

In Belfast, leaders from Corporate Finance, Life and Health Sciences and export focussed firms shared their experiences and opinions with the Panel on the performance and future of Invest NI.

The Panel held subsequent engagements with a range of businesses in the Newry Area as well as with the Newry Chamber of Commerce, local council representatives, the Southern Regional College and InterTradeIreland.

Speaking about the engagements, Sir Michael Lyons said: “I am encouraged by the continued positive response of so many stakeholders who have taken the time to meet with the Panel and share their experience and opinions of Invest NI. These engagements continue to provide us with valuable insight into the performance and future role of Invest NI.

The Panel will hold further rounds of in-person engagements in June before its focus turns to analysing the evidence, research and views offered by the variety of stakeholders consulted.
